Will my photo be uploaded to the internet?
No. All processing happens directly in your browser using the Canvas API. Your photo is never sent to any server and cannot be seen by anyone but you.
Can I compress a PNG to an exact KB size?
Yes, but the result may not be exact. PNG is a lossless format, so we reduce file size by scaling down dimensions. The result will be close to the target, but not always exact. For more precise size control, use JPG or WebP.
Why does the downloaded photo look blurry?
The smaller the target size, the more detail gets reduced. If the result looks too degraded, try raising the target KB (e.g. from 20 KB to 50 KB) or slide the Quality slider to the right.
What's the maximum file size I can process?
There's no server-side limit since we never receive your file. The limit is your browser's memory. Very large files (over 20 MB) may take longer. For many photos, process in smaller batches.
Does the background tool use AI?
No. The tool works by detecting white or light-colored pixels and replacing them. It works best on photos with a plain white studio background. Complex backgrounds or soft shadows may not be fully replaced.
