|---|---|---|---|---|

How to scan signature for IBPS
- Sign on plain white paper using a dark blue or black ballpoint pen. Write your full signature in the centre of the paper — avoid hitting the edges.
- Scan or photograph clearly. Use a scanner at 200 dpi, or photograph the signature in strong, even light with no shadows. Hold the camera directly above the paper.
- Crop tightly around the signature, leaving a small white margin on all sides. Remove any background noise or stray marks.
- Compress to between 10 KB and 18 KB using this tool. Aim for the middle of the range to stay clear of both the upper and lower limits.
- Verify the file size before uploading to the IBPS portal. The portal will reject files outside the 10–20 KB range.

FAQ
What is the IBPS photo size limit?
IBPS requires the passport photo to be between 20 KB and 50 KB in JPG format. White background, face clearly visible, taken within the last 6 months. Files outside this range will be rejected by the portal.
What are IBPS signature dimensions?
IBPS signature must be 10 KB – 20 KB in JPG format. Signed on white paper with dark pen. Physical area approximately 2 × 7 cm. Handwritten only — typed or digital signatures are rejected.
Is there a difference between IBPS PO and Clerk photo requirements?
No. Photo (20–50 KB) and signature (10–20 KB) requirements are identical across all IBPS exams: PO, Clerk, RRB Officer, RRB Office Assistant, and SO.
What resolution should I use for an IBPS photo?
IBPS only specifies file size (20–50 KB), not pixel resolution. At 200 × 250 pixels saved as JPG, a photo compresses to approximately 25–40 KB — well within the limit while remaining sharp on the admit card.
Can I use an online photo taken on a smartphone for IBPS?
Yes, a smartphone photo is acceptable provided it meets all specifications: white background, clear face, even lighting, recent, compressed to 20–50 KB JPG. Avoid distortion effects and strong shadow.
